JOSE “PEPE” MESONES
Executive Chairman and Treasurer
Jose “Pepe” Mesones professional career has been built on the foundation of being a relationship building leader for the past 16 years within the Mortgage and Finance industry. Through a combination of strategy and organization, that includes establishing a vast bilingual business network, Mr. Mesones has been successful in generating a combined revenue through sales of over $200M for some of the country’s largest banks that include CMG Financial, Bank of America, Wachovia/Wells Fargo, and SunTrust Bank.
Before then, Mr. Mesones earned his Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications and Journalism from the University of Florida (UF). Mr. Mesones began his professional post-college career in the Media industry for 5 years at CNN’s Headquarter in Atlanta, Ga. There he served as a writer, associate editor/producer, and media coordinator for the domestic and international markets.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mesones has dedicated time serving the community where he served on the Board of Directors for the Peruvian American Association, and coached soccer for the Soccer in the Streets and the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA).
TOMMIE DAVIS
Chairman
Tommie Davis is a retired and decorated Naval Officer and Nurse Leader with over 35 years of experience in healthcare, government, and military operations. Post his military retirement, Mr. Davis is now an Adjunct Faculty Teacher at the Davis College of Business at Jacksonville University (JU), and started his own business making custom clothing and home decor items for discerning clients.
Mr. Davis earned a Master of Science (MS) in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, an Executive Leadership Certificate in Building and Leading Diverse Organizations from Harvard University, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration from JU.
As a pillar of the community, Mr. Davis serves on the Board of Directors and is the Chairman of Quality Assurance for the Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Jacksonville. He also serves as the Vice President of Board of Directors for the Heritage Singers of Jacksonville, and volunteers with the Florida State College Jacksonville (FSCJ) Artist Series.
BEVERLY FLANAGAN
Chairman
Beverly Flanagan is our newest board member that comes to Hope with over 35 years of experience in the banking, wealth management, and finance industry. Throughout her career, Ms. Flanagan has served in key wealth management positions within PNC Bank, Cypress Bank and Trust, Fifth Third Bank and Suntrust Bank in our local North Florida market.
Ms. Flanagan earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington and is a Certified Financial Planner. Her success within the marketplace has been predicated upon her ability to analyze, plan , and advise affluent and wealthy families through all stages of their financial planning life cycle.
As a wife and mother of 2 boys, Ms. Flanagan has continued to dedicate time to serving the community. She serves as a board member for the Estate Planning Council of NE Florida, the Planned Giving Council of NE Florida, the Catholic Foundation Board for the Diocese of St. Augustine, the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach , and previously spent 5 years as a member of the Douglas Anderson Band Booster Board.
