Ed Wilder has spent 24 years as a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing individual, marital, and family therapy in the private practice sector. Throughout his career, Mr. Wilder has provided patient care in a variety of areas that include home health & hospice, oncology, adult psychiatric, and outpatient care.

In addition to his private therapy practice, Mr. Wilder recently worked for 5 years as the Manager of Spiritual Care and Clinical Pastoral Education at Community Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPC). Prior to CHPC, Mr. Wilder dedicated 20 years in the Spiritual Care Department at Baptist Health here in Jacksonville, FL. After working as a chaplain in multiple patient areas within Baptist Health, he was selected to serve as the very first chaplain at Baptist Medical Center South. Baptist Health eventually promoted Ed to Associate Director of Spiritual Care and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for the entire health system.

Prior to his career at Baptist Health, Mr. Wilder worked as a mental health counselor for Clay County Behavioral Health, a chaplain and grief counselor for Methodist Hospice, Community Hospice, and Baptist/St. Vincent’s Hospice, and a psychiatric nursing assistant for hospitals in Jacksonville, FL and Louisville, KY.

Mr. Wilder has been a consistent advocate for inclusivity and respect of diversity. He was a leader in facilitating improved support for LGBT patients and employees at Baptist Health and has led the design and implementation of multiple community-based classes, seminars, panels, and major conferences in faith and cultural diversity. His contributions outside the clinical setting have included serving as the Chair of the Public Education Forum for the Interfaith Council of Jacksonville, a Spiritual Leader in the Jacksonville Coalition for Equality, and a consultant for OneJax interfaith initiatives.
